Intentional Collaborative Community connection

The Intentional Collaborative Community Connection (IC3) is a group of individuals working to create something that is urgently needed: A residential community designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Right now there is a severe shortage of safe, affordable, meaningful, long-term housing. Wait lists can be up to 3 years or longer. IC3 exists to offer a solution!

Their goal is to increase safety and stability, reduce social isolation, and provide consistent access to social, recreational, enrichment and vocational opportunities.

Their design offers "pocket style" neighborhoods - nothing commercial or institutional!

The plan is to offer mixed-housing options for 125 - 130 people with IDD, a nature inspired campus with walking paths, green spaces with differing amenities, and gathering areas that foster natural social interaction, as well as a robust Community Center for arts and performance among other things.

They know this approach works... communities like this are already demonstrating improved quality of life with local housing waitlists stretching three years or more, the demand for a community like this is TODAY!

"It takes a village to build a village... perhaps you were born for such a time as this."
